Disneyland Trip

On Wednesday on this week, our family went to Disneyland. We had a lot of fun. My mom along with Rachel and Brian, joined us. We all drove down together in my Suburban. We met Jason's co-worker Angel, and her man, William there as well. This was our second trip in 30 days, thanks to the CHP and Disneyland's Wildfire Heroes Salute! The first tie we never even went into Fantasyland or Toon Town, so this time we headed over there. The kids enjoyed three rides in Fantasyland and then wanted to go back to the good rides. Ari, like me, loves Space Mountain. The kids all loved Splash Mountain and Aiden and Ari got a little wet. Noah was nice and dry, as were Jason and myself. Noah enjoyed the Matterhorn as well. In Toon Town, we took the opportunity to throw Jason and the kids in Jail! As you can see, Monkey Jinelle was climbing the bars! Unfortunately, when we went over to toon town, all the rides happened to be broken down, and we never made it back over there to ride them. But we had a great time.
It was supposed to rain and be a blah type of day, but the only rain we saw was in the car on the way down! We even got a glimpse of the Lunar eclipse as we were leaving. After Disneyland, we headed over to Benihana's for dinner. The kids love Tepan food. We got to sit in a private VIP room. It was pretty cool. All in all, it was a great family day that I hope the kids will remember for a long time.

Our First Blog

Hello to all our friends. I decided to give Blogspot a try. I have been on myspace for a year or so now, but really love all my friends blogspots! So, here is our blogspot. We will try to keep it updated. Here is our family's current news:
Today, Jason and I have been married for 9 years. We are so happy and are looking forward to eternity together. We went snowboarding two days ago to celebrate. Thanks to Lucy, Melissa, and Alex for watching the kids. We greatly appreciate it. It's not every day that we get to go away and have fun without the kids!
Aiden is now 8 years old and was baptized in October. It was a wonderful baptism, tons of family and friends, and very spiritual. It was a great experience. I was successful in getting a private baptism, rather than a Stake Baptism. I just feel each and every child deserves to have a personal baptism that involves their family. Aiden was baptized on Jason's 9 year anniversary of his baptism. Aiden is in the Third grade. He is excelling at everything, but his favorite subject is math.
Ariana is six and a half, going on 16! She is currently in cheerleading, but also loves soccer. She is a great help at home. She is our one child who likes to clean her room and keep things organized! (If the others would only follow her lead!) She is in the first grade, and like her big brother, excells at everything. She is in the top ExCel class and is reading at a 3.9, which translates to third grade, ninth month. She will just sit and read for hours, reading a chapter book in one sitting. She is also great at math and can solve any problem you give her.
Noah is now FIVE! He is in Kindergarten. He was supposed to not start until next school year, but we tested him in and are grateful for a wonderful Principal and Teacher who gladly took him. He is in the top group of his class. He is already reading and writing very well. He was one of the first in his class to get his Glitter Name, Koala and Star onthe Koala club. He also has his name at the top of the 100's chart. He, like his siblings, loves to learn and is very smart. I am so glad we started him this year. He is in the same class as his best friend, as well as Ari's best friend. (It is nice to have all three kids in our ward who started Kindergarten this year in the same class.) He still loves dinosaurs and cars. He is excited about going to first grade next year and riding the bus home.
Jinelle is now three years old and growing up so fast. She is very independent and it shows. In less than a years time, she has split her head open twice. (First time she got 6 stitches and the second we just butterflied it.) She is a monkey and climbs on everything. She is definitely a brave little girl.
She enjoys taking the kids to school every day and walking them to class. She knows her way around the school better than some parents, and everyone knows her! BUT She skipped the terrible twos, but found the terrible threes instead. She has to have her way or she throws the biggest fits. I have never had any of my kids be as stubborn as she is. Its her way or no way. But she is learning very quickly that Mommy and Daddy don't give into fits.
Well, I guess that sums it up for now. I will try to keep everyone updated and post more pics soon.
