Goal! Goal! Goal! Goal! and Goal!

Today was another full day of soccer games, and goals. We started this morning at 7:00 am waking up to eat, bathe, and dress five kids (Ari had a friend stay over). Then we left at 8:20 to be at the fields by 8:30 am for Jinelle's game at 9 am. Since we are the coaches, we are supposed to be there thirty minutes before each and every game and set up the nets if we are first game, which we seem to almost always be, and then the last game takes down the goals, which we usually are also, since we have so many teams.
Well, Jinelle's team was there, waiting and practicing....and no other team showed up. Finally at 9:10 am (keep in mind, the game was scheduled to start at 9 am and if you are 10 minutes late, you automatically forefit, but tiny tots don't keep score, so a game is a game) the other coach and one player show up. After about 20 minutes on the phone, she took her little girl to the potty and I gave my kids their half time snack, still without even playing. So, when she finally came back, we said forget it. The next teams were already arriving, so Jinelle was super upset that she didn't get to play today. She really wanted to score eight goals....one more than the previous weeks hope....which , by the way, she crushed!
So then we went over and sat for an hour and a half until 11:00. Then over to Noah's field we went. We got to hang out there for a bit while the teams before us finished up, since they were running over, and then we warmed up. Jason was able to wake up and join us to help coach right before game time. Noah scored twice today, sat out one quarter, and played goalie one quarter. So in just 20 minutes of play time, he scored twice, and after he scored the two goals, we made him play defense. His team ended up winning 5 nothing! Two of the three triplets and one other child scored on his team. They are all such good players. The other team had some huge kids who looked way too old to be on under six playing, who loved to push, but that's all he was good at. He stormed off the field at least three times and was just out of control!
Then we went to Ari's game, which had already started. And just like always, Ari scored right before we got there. As I was walking over, I saw her, but it was from a distance. Luckily she only has one more game that overlaps the other kids games, so we should be able to get some pics of her scoring in the next few games. (We are now up to three Stiber goals....) Her team didn't do too hot, but she was awesome. We have a lot of young players on her team who have never played before and the coach from the other team (the same one who didn't show up to the tiny tot game......)didn't know crap about soccer and was making all kinds of wrong calls...but that is what you deal with in rec, unexperienced, stupid coaches.
Then we ran over to Del Taco. LUNCH TIME! Ari and Jinelle got picked up by Grandma so they could go have pedicures. Grandma and Grandpa leave in the morning for a month long vacation to Peru, Argentina, and Brazil, so they had to go get their nails done first! We ate and then Noah and Jason went home so he could get another nap in. Aiden and I, along with Alex, who joined us for the days games, went back to the fields for Aiden's game. Right after we got there, Oma called and said she was on her way. She got off work and since Aiden had a late game, she could make it over to watch! YEAH!!! I think this is her first game she has gotten to see!
Before today, Aiden's team was tied for third place. They had three wins and two loses. Both the loses were to the two teams who were placed ahead of us, so we were excited. At the beginning of the season, we were a VERY VERY young team, who didn't quite get the whole team play part of soccer, which, is basically, the entire game. You can't play soccer as a one man show...it just doesn't go over well. Also, Aiden has had tons of assists, almost every goal, he has assisted on, but hasn't had a chance to actually make a goal.
Well, today, that changed. We played AWESOME! Aiden scored in the first quarter, and so did Ty. Second quarter, Jordan and Ty both scored, taking us up to four nothin! Then third quarter, Aiden and Jordan both scored again, making it six-zero. (At this point, we are ecstatic, but now we can't score anymore...no more than six goals allowed. Its rec!) So, for the last 12 and a half minutes of the game, we played keep away from the other team. It was such a great game. We ended up six-zero. A Shut-out!!!! The boys were so happy, the parents were happy, the coaches were happy! It was a great day.
So, the Stiber's finished the day of games with five goals! Woo Hoo! And Jinelle didn't play, otherwise it would have been like fifteen. So, all the kids had great games. Alex says Aiden scored cuz he was there. Oma says he scored cuz she was there. I say he scored cuz he was awesome today!
Then we went and got the girls, came home, showered everyone, and went to dinner for Aiden's birthday with Grandma and Grandpa at Maan Fu (a Teppan Restaurant). Aiden picked it. Then Jaosn left for work and we came home. Aiden got his birthday presents from them early, since they will be in Peru. He got the Wii Fit and MarioKart Racing for the Wii. So far, we have tried out the Wii Fit and the kids all love it. Even Jinelle can do some of the games. The kids said they want to try MarioKart next, but it was pretty hard to get them off the WiiFit, so I have a feeling that it will get a lot of use. Only a few more days until Aiden will be nine! Wow! How time flies! Guess that means I must be getting old!

hum de dum de dum

Well, I haven't written in a while, so I thought I would write a quick update. I have been super busy lately. Jinelle turned four last week, and we had THREE different parties for her. On Sunday, we had Desi and Manny, and Stephi and Luke over for dinner and a cookie cake. They gave her her birthday presents and she got to open them. She got a pair of DC Shoes (Uncle Many likes expensive shoes!) and a bunch of Hannah Montana stuff (Including a set of tattoos, which the entire sheet ended up on her arm, all at one time!). Then on Tuesday (her actual b-day) she had her church friends and three youngest cousins over for a party. We ate dino chicken, cheetos and Capri Suns, along with cupcakes. Oh, and we can't forget that we had popcorn frshly popped in Jinelle's very own popcorn maker. (and I'm not talking about a little air popper. Its pretty big. Its a table top one that tastes SO good. Just like the theaters!! It was from Grandma and Grandpa, Goose, and Jay and I) They all got to play on Heather's water slide that she so graciously let us borrow! That party was from 12:30 pm to 3:30 pm. Then at 5:00 pm we met a bunch of the family at Red Robin for dinner. Then we came back to our house where even more friends and family joined us at 7:30 for cake and ice cream. Oh, and after dinner but before cake, the kids, Jason, adn Alex went on the water slide, which was freezing cold by that time. It is starting to cool off at night and the water got quite chilly.
Then after recovering from that, I went to Las Vegas for Time Out for Women. I go tot stay at the Luxor with my mom and sister. It was a lot of fun. We went shopping on the way up and just had a fun relaxing time. While I was gone, my dad and Jason had the kids and five soccer games to attend. (Ari had a double header). Noah scored twice and his team won (AGAIN!). Aiden had an assist adn his team also won. Jinelle scored like 7 times, and we don't keep track of tiny tot goals, so they proabably won but who knows. Ari scored, but her team didn't win either game. They only had one sub so only some girls got to sit, Ari NOT being one of them. So she ran for an hour, had a break for two hours, and then ran for another hour. Her poor legs were sore for days. I think today is the first day she hasn't said that they hurt still.
Sunday was church. Then Monday I got the house all ready and did some shopping. Jinelle was at the river with grandma and grandpa, so I got to have a kid-free day, until the others got home from school. Tuesday was spent shopping, cleaning, babysitting, and getting the house ready. Then at 5 pm last night, the crowd arrived. We had a church social at our house, and we had quite the turn out. I think about 75 people showed up. We had tons of food and lots of fun. The Tuataga family danced for us and we just enjoyed one anothers company. Today, I have been drained, both physically and emotionally. I had the baby again. Jinelle, Lauryn, and I ventured over to Costco to return some stuff and buy other stuff. Then home and vegged. I haven't had much energy today. No desire to clan. Something about just cleaned two times the entire house spotless in less than a week to just have it destroyed by visitors has me not wanting to do much.
So until Aiden's party next week, I don't think I will be having any guests over! SO NO SURPRISE VISITORS!!!!! :) So when I get around to downloading pics, I will load some of Jinelle.....if I get around to it that is.

Four games= four wins!

Today we had four soccer games. The day started out with two games at 8:30, which meant us leaving our house at 7:45 am. Noah and Aiden had games at the same time, so Aiden went to his game, and the rest of us were four fields over at Noah's game. Noah scored a goal and his team won 4 to 3. The other team came on strong during the first quarter and then our kids kicked butt and came back in the second quarter to tie the game and then scored one last time in the final quarter to win it! That's two for two for Noah's team. Unfortunately, since the games were at the same time, Jason and I did not get to see Aiden play, but grandma and grandpa were there for the second half. Aiden's team has had a difficult first few games. We have been beaten pretty badly. But today was a different story. Aiden, I was told, was awesome today. He assisted a goal with a perfect pass to an open player by the goal who scored. We ended up winning that game 2 to 1. Their very first win, and , boy were they excited. Then at 11:00 am we ventured over to Jinelle's game. She had told her dad that she wanted to score five goals this game, since she scored three her first game and four her second game. Well, we stopped counting her goals when she hit 8. We are estimating she made about 12 goals, give or take a few.....and she only played for half the game, which is a whole 14 minutes. She basically ran the field. If she was on the field, she was scoring. Then we finished up the day with Ari's game at 12:00 pm. Ari's team is pretty good. Not the best, but better than most. Ari was excited to play against one of her new school friends, Madison. They have been talking about when they play eachother. Ari was even more excited when she scored, and Madison was the goalie. Her team ended up winning 4 to 2. She was a very good sport and went over and told Madison good game. The entire walk to the car they were talking and giggling about how fun it was to play against eachother.
So all in all, it was a good game day. Four games, four wins, four happy kids. Unfortunately, I forgot my camera in all the hustle to get out of the house this morning. Hopefully I can remember next week. Ari has a bye next week, so no game for her. But the following week (While I am gone at Time Out For Women, Las Vegas) she has a double header and the other kids all have games as well....which means Jason and my dad have five games to attend and coach!
