Busy, busy, busy, and conflicted.......

This week I have kept pretty busy. On top of taking care of the puppies and Jetta (all which are doing great now), I have been busy with scout stuff, extra kids, and school stuff for my own kids.
I'm still struggling over where to place Jinelle next year. I really wanted her to have Ms. Carr, the same Kindergarten teacher as the other three, but that would mean splitting schools. I LOVE Cypress and am excited about all my kids have done over there. (I would change a few things, but for the most part, I am loving the new school) BUT Ms. Carr is like the ultimate teacher, and she is at our old school. She has all the good qualities and none of the bad. She is perfect. But what I struggle with is, if I put Jinelle at the other school, I would have to drop the kids off at the bus, and take Jinelle. Anyone who knows me knows I don't do good with just dropping my kids. Jinelle WILL NOT ride the bus in Kinder, so I have to take her and pick her up daily. But two schools, that is just a lot of driving. Plus, our school is changing start times next year, so it will be the same, or close to the same, as the other old school, which makes dropping off even harder. (I like to walk my kids in, especially in kindergarten. And most of the time, Ms. Carr would have a little project for me to stay and do with the kids in the morning.) But, if I put her at the old school, and move her in first grade, all the other kids will know eachother, and she will be the outsider coming in. I know its just one year, but Aiden has his same best friend from Kindergarten. I would hate to have her make great friends this year, just to have me yank her up and change schools the next year.
So, I guess I need to do some research and figure out what I want to do. I am hoping that tomorrow when I go to the school, I can drop in to the kinder teachers and possibly a few third grade teachers to see if maybe I can make my mind up. Luckily, Aiden and Noah's teachers are already decided for next year. Just now to deal with the girls......
WISH ME LUCK! I need it!!! (Yes, I am obsessed with my kids having the perfect teacher. I have had a few bad experiences when someone else picked my kids teacher or when I picked blindly......so, I need to research and decide for myself)

Jetta is expecting puppies any day!!

Our dog, Jetta, is expecting puppies any day now. She is super fat and her milk is starting to fill up. We will let you all know when they arrive. We will be selling them, to good homes only, once they are 8 weeks old. You can find out more about Jetta and Diablo (the proud father) by visiting their blogspot. (See link at right of page). Once they are born, we will update that page often with pics and info about the puppies.

Jinelle wanted to join her friends......

Well, Jinelle wanted to join Ashlee, Libby (thanks to Quin and Drex) and Faith (twice I believe) in the world of mommy blogging about the hair cuts by someone other than a professional.
She decided that she wanted to have bangs again. But she was smart about it. She at least looked in the mirror to cut her bangs and she thinks that they are pretty. She did this a few nights ago, and it isn't that bad (My niece, Leah, cut her entire piggy tail off, rubber band and all). But we have been looking forward to not having bangs anymore.
The pics are of when she went to sleep because she wouldn't let us take a pic of her awake. She is such a little booger. She is by far, my most difficult child. I guess Jay is right. It's not all her fault. She has a full-size spirit crammed into that little body and she just can't help it. I'm just glad I didn't get too upset at her. I was just so shocked! I never thought my kid would ever do something like that. BUT SHE DID! She had a good reason though, and it made my heart break.

She said she doesn't like her scars on her forehead and she wanted to make bangs so she could hide them again. I never thought she would be so self conscience at only four years old. I knew that someday, she wouldn't like them, but I thought I had a few years. So, for now, we are sticking to a clip on the side to hold them back until I can find time to take her to someone to et them fixed. The hard part about that is I hate trusting someone to cut her hair. I did that last itme and they screwed her hair up so royally horrible that we had to get it fixed by someone else. It seems like all the places around here will hire anyone with a pair of DollarTree scissors to cut hair. So, until I can find someone I trust, she will have to live with it. (The few people I would trust are super busy so it might be a while!)

Jinelle was first out. She didn't make it to midnight. I don't think she even made it to midnight on the east coast. She was one tired little girl.
But the rest of us were wide awake at midnight. Happy New Year! Its 2009!!!
Ok, now that we've had our cider and kissed everyone a Happy New Year, Ari bundled up and got all snuggly.
It wasn't long before they started to drop off. Ari and Aiden were out quick. By 12:30 am, Ari and Aiden dropped off to sleep.
Aiden actually fell asleep on Ari's feet, but neither seemed to mind. Noah was still wide awake!
He finally made it to midnight! And the last one awake......
Look how excited he was. What a little nutball he is! The above pic was at 12:45 am.

But it didn't take long before he nodded off. He was so tired, he fell asleep sitting up. This was 12:47 am, just two minutes after the previous pic! (I would love to be able to fall asleep that quickly!)

Poor Jinelle wasn't feeling well on Christmas day. She didn't even eat dinner and fell asleep even with 7 other kids running around making noise.

Our Christmas Tradition. New Jammies. This year we got Wii Jammies for the entire family. (Usually just the kids get them, but I found them in adult sizes too, so Jay and I got them. He wasn't thrilled, but was a great sport and wore them with us for a pic or two and present opening at home).Proof Alex really did the dishes! He's gotten so big. He's taller than me now, but I could still take him (or at least he lets me think I could!).
