Goal! Goal! Goal! Goal! and Goal!

Today was another full day of soccer games, and goals. We started this morning at 7:00 am waking up to eat, bathe, and dress five kids (Ari had a friend stay over). Then we left at 8:20 to be at the fields by 8:30 am for Jinelle's game at 9 am. Since we are the coaches, we are supposed to be there thirty minutes before each and every game and set up the nets if we are first game, which we seem to almost always be, and then the last game takes down the goals, which we usually are also, since we have so many teams.
Well, Jinelle's team was there, waiting and practicing....and no other team showed up. Finally at 9:10 am (keep in mind, the game was scheduled to start at 9 am and if you are 10 minutes late, you automatically forefit, but tiny tots don't keep score, so a game is a game) the other coach and one player show up. After about 20 minutes on the phone, she took her little girl to the potty and I gave my kids their half time snack, still without even playing. So, when she finally came back, we said forget it. The next teams were already arriving, so Jinelle was super upset that she didn't get to play today. She really wanted to score eight goals....one more than the previous weeks hope....which , by the way, she crushed!
So then we went over and sat for an hour and a half until 11:00. Then over to Noah's field we went. We got to hang out there for a bit while the teams before us finished up, since they were running over, and then we warmed up. Jason was able to wake up and join us to help coach right before game time. Noah scored twice today, sat out one quarter, and played goalie one quarter. So in just 20 minutes of play time, he scored twice, and after he scored the two goals, we made him play defense. His team ended up winning 5 nothing! Two of the three triplets and one other child scored on his team. They are all such good players. The other team had some huge kids who looked way too old to be on under six playing, who loved to push, but that's all he was good at. He stormed off the field at least three times and was just out of control!
Then we went to Ari's game, which had already started. And just like always, Ari scored right before we got there. As I was walking over, I saw her, but it was from a distance. Luckily she only has one more game that overlaps the other kids games, so we should be able to get some pics of her scoring in the next few games. (We are now up to three Stiber goals....) Her team didn't do too hot, but she was awesome. We have a lot of young players on her team who have never played before and the coach from the other team (the same one who didn't show up to the tiny tot game......)didn't know crap about soccer and was making all kinds of wrong calls...but that is what you deal with in rec, unexperienced, stupid coaches.
Then we ran over to Del Taco. LUNCH TIME! Ari and Jinelle got picked up by Grandma so they could go have pedicures. Grandma and Grandpa leave in the morning for a month long vacation to Peru, Argentina, and Brazil, so they had to go get their nails done first! We ate and then Noah and Jason went home so he could get another nap in. Aiden and I, along with Alex, who joined us for the days games, went back to the fields for Aiden's game. Right after we got there, Oma called and said she was on her way. She got off work and since Aiden had a late game, she could make it over to watch! YEAH!!! I think this is her first game she has gotten to see!
Before today, Aiden's team was tied for third place. They had three wins and two loses. Both the loses were to the two teams who were placed ahead of us, so we were excited. At the beginning of the season, we were a VERY VERY young team, who didn't quite get the whole team play part of soccer, which, is basically, the entire game. You can't play soccer as a one man show...it just doesn't go over well. Also, Aiden has had tons of assists, almost every goal, he has assisted on, but hasn't had a chance to actually make a goal.
Well, today, that changed. We played AWESOME! Aiden scored in the first quarter, and so did Ty. Second quarter, Jordan and Ty both scored, taking us up to four nothin! Then third quarter, Aiden and Jordan both scored again, making it six-zero. (At this point, we are ecstatic, but now we can't score anymore...no more than six goals allowed. Its rec!) So, for the last 12 and a half minutes of the game, we played keep away from the other team. It was such a great game. We ended up six-zero. A Shut-out!!!! The boys were so happy, the parents were happy, the coaches were happy! It was a great day.
So, the Stiber's finished the day of games with five goals! Woo Hoo! And Jinelle didn't play, otherwise it would have been like fifteen. So, all the kids had great games. Alex says Aiden scored cuz he was there. Oma says he scored cuz she was there. I say he scored cuz he was awesome today!
Then we went and got the girls, came home, showered everyone, and went to dinner for Aiden's birthday with Grandma and Grandpa at Maan Fu (a Teppan Restaurant). Aiden picked it. Then Jaosn left for work and we came home. Aiden got his birthday presents from them early, since they will be in Peru. He got the Wii Fit and MarioKart Racing for the Wii. So far, we have tried out the Wii Fit and the kids all love it. Even Jinelle can do some of the games. The kids said they want to try MarioKart next, but it was pretty hard to get them off the WiiFit, so I have a feeling that it will get a lot of use. Only a few more days until Aiden will be nine! Wow! How time flies! Guess that means I must be getting old!

Sounds like you had quite a day! I'm not surprise that all the kids are involved in soccer, after some of the stories that Scott has told me about Jason and his family.

We have a WiiFit too and I LOVE IT! It's so much fun and actually gives you a great workout. You'll unlock more activities as you spend more time on there. I unlocked what is called "Free Step" which allows you to change the channel and go and watch something while you continue stepping for the 30 minutes. I do this one, almost everyday, while Caitlyn is napping and I am watching my soap. It's great!

Hope that all is well!

I'm totally putting Elle in soccer next year on your team! So hold the spot :) Crickett is doing good I think she is depressed a little bit and Dean just chases her around all day under tables through the doors he adores her. I feel bad because I'm not giving her any human food but I really don't want to make her sick or kill her (not that you would care :) but she is always begging and I really don't want to pay the vet bill ha ha your mom said anything under $1000 so with my luck it would be like $999.99
