Our Remote came back!

So, we found our walking remote. It walked into Aiden's room and jumped behind a box that was on the bottom shelf of his bookshelf. It was driving me nuts this morning. I woke up while Jason was getting ready for work and I could not go back to sleep because I couldn't stop thinking about it. So I got up and cleaned my entire house. I swept, mopped, cleaned my kitchen top to bottom, did laundry, and searched everywhere that a sleeping child was not. Then when the kids got up, I said no tv until the remote is found. If I can't watch my shows, you can't watch yours. And magically, it was found! So now Jay and I decided that our remote will be kept out of reach of anyone under the age of 15. If they want to change the channel, they can either ask us or do it manually!

So, as of yesterday morning, our DVR remote has gone missing. Aiden swears he left it on the couch after he changed the channel yesterday morning, so I'm thinking it magically grew legs and walked away. We've torn the entire house apart looking for it. I wouldn't be so concerned over a regular remote, but it is our DVR remote and it costs like $75 to replace. Stupid remote! I wish it came with a homing beacon! We've taken the couch apart, moving the enitre thing to the other part of the living room to look under neather, not that the remote would fit under there. (I did find the comb monster while under the couch. He had confinscated 10 combs, but I go tthem back now!) We've looked in all the usual places, in the bathrooms, kids bedrooms, our bedroom, in the closets, pantry, cupboards, cars, backpacks, purses, everywhere we can think of. We even emptied out the trash bag we took from the house yesterday into a different trash just in case. NO LUCK! So, if anyone happens to know where remotes like to walk off to, please give me a holler. Until then, I am driving myself bonkers looking for it. Its 4:00 am and I can't sleep because I just can't stop thinking about the dumb remote!

Exhausted

This past week was exhausting. I was busy every day, all day. Up until yesterday after soccer, I was going and going and going. So, I decided to take a bath yesterday after soccer. It was so cold, and a hot bath sounded relaxing. Well, I never made it to the bath. I laid down on the bed while Ari showered and the next thing I know, its 7:30 p.m. I fell asleep, It felt so good! Jason, being the great hubby he is, just let me sleep and he took care of the kids. When I got up, we watched a movie and then I went back to bed. I slept in today until 8:30, so now i am well rested and ready for this next exhausting week. Not having my parents here is a lot of work. Usually, my mom will take Jinelle once or twice a week if I have errands to do, or she'll go with me, but since she's gone, I don't have a sitter, and I have all her running around to do on top of mine. Now my mother-in-law has taken Jinelle on Thursdays while my mom is gone so I can still help at school, but my mom usually goes with me other places or I go with her.
This next week is our Primary Program at church. So on Friday, we have our practice. Hopefully the kids come, cuz today at church, not many kids were there. Maybe due to the long weekend, but it was pretty empty today. I just hope it all goes well. 14 songs to sing and not many kids makes me a little nervous. It always works out, but I'm still a little nervous.

Blankets

Just wanted to let everyone know, I have a bunch of my tie blankets ready and waiting for new homes. They make great presents! I have tons of different characters/themes and all sizes. Let me know if you want to see pics of some. Also, I still have a few that you can pick the backing color for before I make them. I also take special orders!
Now, to all those who shop at any store where they sell fleece, I am on a mission to find Nutcracker Fleece. I need 2 to 2 1/2 yards. I want this for blanket for myself. So, if you ever see fleece with Nutcrackers on it, give me a call!

I'm the Rockin' Egg

Just thought I would share a funny story. We (Jason and I) are always telling the kids to get in the car and buckle up so we can go. We always say, hurry up so your not the rotten egg. And one of us usually fumbles around with our seat belt until the last kids is buckled. Well, recently, Jinelle has purposely been losing. She kept saying, I want to be it. So, the other day, I said hurry up Jinelle, or you will be the rotten egg. And she so simply responded "But mom, I like being the Rockin' Egg". All this time with us trying to get them to hurry is now down the tubes cuz Jinelle wants to be the Rockin' egg!
